The Soulmate Detective!
For Valentine's Day

If you are single on Valentine’s Day, the most important thing to remember is that you're not ALONE. Valentine’s Day can be a dreadful day to go through for singles. The sight of roses, heart-shaped candy and happy couples everywhere can be painful, particularly for those who’ve just ended a relationship or lost a loved one.

Here are The Soulmate Detective’s Top 5 Tips to Survive Valentine’s Day!!

5.  Host a Valentine’s Day Party

I once had a Valentine’s Party for a bunch of my single friends.  I told them to dress up in their best duds and come prepared to have a great time.  I served them dinner and purposely gave them NO utensils to eat with.  We had a fabulous time watching each other eating spaghetti and meatballs using only our fingers.  I can promise no one was feeling sorry for themselves that evening.  A great time was had by everyone and they were still talking about it years later.

4. Give to the Community and Share Your Love With Those in Need!

Spread a little love and cheer to others. Do some charity work or volunteer at shelters for women and children, feed the homeless at a soup kitchen, visit the elderly at an assisted-living facility or walk the dogs at the humane society.  Spending time with those truly in need of help and companionship is one of the best gifts a person can give to others, sharing your love will definitely bring love back to you. When you're selflessly dedicating your time and energy to helping others, it's impossible to feel sorry for yourself. Plus you'll be brightening other people's day. (And who knows? You might just meet a cute do-gooder guy or gal there!!

3. Pamper Yourself!

Give yourself a big treat and do something you don’t usually get to do. Send flowers to yourself, get a facial or spa treatment, take a long luxurious bath, have a movie marathon, cook yourself a gourmet dinner, read a good book uninterrupted or play the latest Wii game till you drop. The point is to be kind and generous to your self.  Just because you don’t have a date on Valentine's Day doesn't mean you can't have a fabulous date night...   with yourself!

I plan on treating myself to a massage at my favorite spa, followed by ordering in dinner from my favorite restaurant, catching up on some reading and watching a Netflix movie! I am really looking forward to the opportunity to relax and pamper myself - you should too!

2.  Use Valentine’s Day to Study The Law of Attraction.

The first thing you need to know about meeting the man or woman of your dreams is “The Law of Attraction” and how it works.  The Law of Attraction states that you get what you think about, whether it’s good or bad.  It also states that what you focus on expands.

So if you’ve been telling yourself your whole life that “all the good ones are taken”, “all the good ones are gay” or “I’m never going to find anyone”, “all men are cheaters”, well guess what, because of how the Law of Attraction works you’ve just determined your destiny.

The good news is, once you know how to work with the Law of Attraction and not against it, you can turn your dating luck around.  So, use Valentine’s Day to study The Law of Attraction and learn how to use it in your favor for the coming year!
